The Sun Run Las Vegas 5K was created by medical student Elizabeth Tchernogorova, and Board Certified Dermatologists, Dr. David Cotter, and Dr. H.L. Greenberg, who bonded over a shared passion for running, dermatology, and community service. Recognizing the importance of prevention and access to care, they envisioned an event that brings physical fitness and skin health together in a meaningful way. Sun Run 5K combines a community run with free skin cancer screenings, promoting movement, sun safety, and early detection while supporting health initiatives across the Las Vegas community.
